Painless Cancer Treatment

As a skin cancer survivor I used the painless and easy arts and sciences of energy balancing and energy healing to heal myself from terminal melanoma--that is, fatal skin cancer.

I overcame Stage 4 skin cancer through the use, among other things, of natural cancer treatments including energy work. Now I dedicate myself to giving cancer support and facilitating cancer healing to anyone who suffers from this terrifying condition.

One thing I want all people to know is that they need to understand something basic about cancer: everyone in the world can have cancer cells. The question is do you have the body, mind and spirit to kill the cells. What this means for each one of us is that we can all get cancer under the "right" circumstances. But it also means that we are clearly equipped to deal with and survive cancer through natural healing, too.

Cancer has only become a regularly occurring disease since the beginning of the 20th century. And it only became the virtual epidemic that it is in the last 50 or 60 years. Our lifestyles and diets coupled with the ever increasing use of powerful synthetic medications are the culprit behind this tragic fact.

The use of natural energy work to treat and heal from cancer involves adopting an understanding that is at one and the same time ancient but new. The body is an energy field and naturally has an energy field all around and throughout itself. This fact is well-established and well known to people who practice ancient healing sciences involving the Chakras and Qi ("chi") energy meridians that extend like a web throughout the body.

For some reason, the Orient wound up remaining more in touch with this knowledge than the West in the last few hundred years, as the West became more advanced in other areas of medicine. The ironic tragedy is that the West's religion of Christianity is largely responsible for the loss of this knowledge, as the Church sought to suppress any teaching that authorities could not find a foundation for in the bible.

But of course modern Western science knows full well that energy is all around us, that all matter is a state of energy and can become energy, and that the human body and brain create measurable energy fields. And the knowledge of how to use the body's energies for healing, including healing from cancer, is on the rise in the West once more.

The ancient wisdom concerning this natural cancer treatment tells us that we have an Aetheric Body, an Emotional Body, a Mental Body, and an Astral Body, all of which come together within the physical body. This fact is analogous to the "mind-body" connection that more and more medical professionals and health experts are taking with scientific seriousness. So, it follows that one of the most important parts of the use of energy work to heal from cancer is the power of positive thinking and meditating on positive imagery--that is, thinking that you can and will heal, and being able to "see" your cancer diminishing and an image of yourself whole and healthy, rid of the cancer.

Imagining these things as real visions of the near future and not "just" fantasy generates a certain kind of energy in the body by this action's nature--and that energy is cancer-fighting and healing.

If you have ever heard of people who had a terminal illness like cancer making themselves well without even really trying by watching hours and hours of comedy movies on DVD, you have heard a tale of energy healing. The people in question, probably without realizing it, were altering the energy state of their Emotional Body; instead of feeling defeated and dying, they made themselves feel joyful about life, they laughed in the face of Death until Death lost all dominion over them. The rest of the bodies picked up on this alteration and together they acted to kill the cancer.

One type of energy healing work that is making strong inroads now in the West is Reiki. A Japanese word roughly meaning "universal life energy", Reiki practitioners are skilled in using light touches upon the body to positively influence the Aetheric Body, the personal energy "bubble" that surrounds us. Highly skilled masters can even influence healing from a distance, as long as their target patient has a receptive attitude.

Summary: If you have skin cancer or are otherwise in need of cancer support and healing, I am a cancer survivor and can testify first hand that energy healing feels wonderful, is painless, and works.

Is There Any Such Thing As a Safe Sun Tan?

The question about whether any sort of sun tan is safe is one that's asked constantly and brings a different answer depending on who you ask.

Recently U.S. and British researchers reviewed published studies and noticed that both tans and skin cancer start with changes to the DNA that comes from ultraviolet light. "The signals in the cells that induce sun tanning appear to be DNA damage," said Dorothy Bennett, a cell biologist at St. George's University of London. She insists that anything that causes mutations in the cells will increase your risk of cancer. The link between skin cancer and tans that come from the sun or tanning booths is well documented, but the new study presents the idea that even a little bit of exposure of either kind can be dangerous.

The World Health Organization estimates that 60,000 people die each year from exposure to too much ultraviolet light. According to the information provided on the site, "A large number of studies indicate that the risk of malignant melanoma correlates with genetic and personal characteristics, and a person's UV exposure behaviour."

Beyond the skin cancer risk, exposure to the sun speeds up aging, cataracts and other eye problems, and may even reduce the effectiveness of the immune system.
Here are some surprising things you might want to know about sun tanning:

- Your tan is your body's defense against further UV damage.

- The protection of sunscreens depends more than anything on applying them correctly.

- A deep tan only provides an estimated SPF of 4.

- UV exposure is cumulative over a day.

- UV radiation can't be felt; a hazy sky or water can enhance your exposure.

But don't we need some sun exposure?

The sun brings us light, heat and UV radiation, which aren't all bad. UVB rays from the sun help our bodies convert precursor chemicals into vitamin D - giving us about 90% of what we need. Deficiencies of vitamin D are very common, and without enough of this essential nutrient, you're at risk for developing many serious diseases including osteoporosis and some cancers, infectious disease and heart disease.

"Sun is crucial to your overall physical and mental well-being," says Dr. Michael F. Holick, author of The UV Advantage, and professor of Medicine, Dermatology, Physiology and Biophysics at Boston University Medical Center. Holick is the expert who uncovered evidence that vitamin D is produced by sun exposure and is necessary to say healthy.

So what to do? Too much sun exposure increases your skin cancer risk, too little puts you at risk for not having the vitamin D your body needs.

Here's the way to strike a balance:

- Get natural sunlight in the off peak hours - early morning or later in the afternoon. Be sure to apply (and re-apply) any sunscreen you use when you're out in the sun during peak hours - 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

- Avoid tanning beds and the risks of UV exposure (and DNA damage), especially important for younger women.

- Get that golden, sun tan glow from sunless tanning products that are safe to use (they don't enter the body) so long as you follow the package directions.

Sunburn – Protect Yourself

Sunburn can be annoying if they are minor, but a real pain if you get roasted. There may even be long term effects, which means you need to learn to protect yourself from them or risk the consequences.

What is a sunburn? It is pretty much what it sounds like. It is a form of radiation at its base. The skin is exposed to more ultra violet radiation from the sun then it can handle. The key component of your skin is Melanin. When it is overwhelmed, you get a sunburn. The more exposure you get, the redder your skin. Your skin literally cooks.

The sun sends out huge swaths of radiation every second of its existence. Since the Earth rotates, we are protected from it for roughly half of every 24 hour period .During the remaining time, much of the radiation is eliminated by the magnetic field protecting the planet.

The field originates from the poles. This is also where the radiation from the sun gets closest to the planet and can actually be seen as the "white nights" or "northern lights" many people report seeing at night in far north areas.

Do sunburns lead to a risk of skin cancer? This is believed to be so. The primary reason is the ultra violet radiation actually damages and modifies the DNA of burned skin. When DNA is changed abnormally, cancer tends to be a result. It is important to note, however, that there have been plenty of reports of melanoma skin cancer where sun exposure has been minimal.

Does wearing sunscreen help limit sunburns? Well, you know it does. If you've ever been in the sun for a long period of time, you probably wear sunscreen if you are smart. Yet, it is easy to miss a spot. As the day moves along, you will start to notice any such spots as they turn bright red, get hot and so on. This reflects the damage being done by the sun via over exposure to ultra violet radiation and DNA damage.

The sunlight hitting the Earth in just one day contains enough energy to meet all of our power needs for a full year. That is a lot of energy and radiation. Your skin doesn't stand a chance against it. To avoid problems, wear sunscreen, a hat and protect yourself from the damaging effects of the sun.

Skin Cancer Prevention – Could Fish in Your Diet Make a Difference?

Deramatology Researchers at Hope Hospital, Salford, Manchester have uncovered exciting evidence that oily fish in your diet could help in the prevention of skin cancer.

Omega 3 oils in fish have long been associated with health benefits in conditions such as poor concentration in children and protection against heart disease and dementia, but it now appears that these essential fatty acids protect the skin against the DNA damage that can cause skin cancer.

Sun burn is a major factor in the development of skin cancer. Fair skinned people are particularly susceptible and sun burn increases the chances of developing skin cancer at a later date.

The research consisted of a group of 42 healthy people being given a fish oil supplement that would be the equivalent of three portions of oily fish a week.

After one month, they were less likely to burn and after three months, their resistance had risen to 33% less likely.

A group of people who suffered from sun allergy doubled their defence after 6 months.

These groups were measured against a third group who had been given olive oil which had no effect.

The protection derived from the change in diet would be equivalent to a permanent mild sun screen but would not protect against fierce sun.

Many people only apply sun screen if they're officially sunbathing and then it can be patchy.

Serious damage can happen in as little as 15 minutes - maybe walking to the shops or taking the dog out - doing a bit of gardening - how many of us would bother to put sun screen on for those tasks?

In the UK, skin cancer rates have doubled every decade since 1940 and there are now around 100,000 new cases and 2000 deaths a year. These increases are reflected in pale skinned people all around the world.

Much of the increase in the UK has been put down to more people taking holidays abroad and exposing themselves to excessive sun. However, there are many days in the UK when it would be advisable to protect ourselves but because the climate is mild overall, we don't bother.

Increasing oily fish in your diet is easy - even canned fish (apart from tuna) retains the omega 3s, so salmon, mackerel, sardines and the like can all be used straight from the can.

Now is the right time to make the change in the Northern Hemisphere, so you'll have the additional protection by next summer.

Aging Skin Care

Since there are more elderly people living in the world than never before this Aging Skin Care is a topic of interest to many people. Wrinkles on the skin are the visible sign of age. This topic is important to people who want to protect from or slowdown the rate of wrinkle formation. When proteins that are responsible for elasticity of the skin get damaged wrinkles get formed. This protein is known as elastin .

Naturally proteins are subject to damage from UV radiation and free radicals and elastin being one of the proteins can't be an exceptional. A free radical is a word to refer to oxygen molecule that has been split and therefore highly active destroying DNA of cells they come into contact with. This DNA damage can cause skin cancer while damage to the proteins cause the formation of wrinkles. To absorb these free radicals before they reach the skin, antioxidants can be applied on the skin in form of cream. Therefore aging skin care that use antioxidants is suitable.

Taking vitamins C and E, and a compound Alpha Hydroxyl Acid (AHA) will help in slowing down the commencement of wrinkles. Fruit, berries and dark vegetables are rich in antioxidants and it is advisable to take a lot of them as part of aging skin care.

Quitting smoking and avoiding exposure to sun will help to take care of your skin. The sun produces UV radiation that split the oxygen on your skin to radicals while smoke soaks your body in a set of free radicals. Before you stay on the sun make sure you apply sunscreen to protect your skin from the UV radiation. These will help maintain your skin young. For those who have wrinkles use of moisturizers will make them better though the wrinkles will not be eliminated completely.

Prevent Premature Wrinkles by Using Coenzyme Q10 Creams and Other Antioxidants

Premature wrinkles may be caused by illness or disease, but the most common cause is the tanning bed or overexposure natural sunlight. You might like the sun. Many of us do. But, UV rays are not our friends, if we want to look our best, throughout our lives.

Cutis laxa is one of the diseases that cause a prematurely aged appearance. The condition is usually inherited. It is characterized by that that hangs in loose wrinkled folds. In some cases, it is thickened and darker than normal. The joints and internal organs can be affected by the disease, too.

Rothmund-Thomson Syndrome, Progeroid Syndrome, Xeroderma, psoriasis vulgaris and a number of genetic defects cause a prematurely aged appearance. Exposure to the toxins in tobacco smoke, or environmental pollutants causes molecular damage that can eventually result in skin wrinkling at an early age.

But, by far, the most well-known and common cause of early wrinkling is exposure to UV radiation. UVA, UVB and UVC can damage collagen fibers and accelerate skin aging. These ultra-violet rays damage DNA strands in the deepest of the skin's cells, either directly or indirectly.

This does not mean that the use of sunscreen will help prevent premature wrinkles. The SPF ratings of sunscreens indicate their protection against sunburn. UVA radiation does not cause reddening of the skin. So, the effectiveness of a sunscreen against UVA cannot be measured accurately.

In addition to skin aging, exposure to UV radiation increases a person's risk of skin cancer. Studies indicate that there is a higher risk of malignant melanoma, a very serious form of skin cancer, among regular sunscreen users. So, don't trust a sunscreen to protect your face from wrinkling or cancer. Instead wear a hat with a wide brim, use sunglasses and stay in the shade.

Our skin's natural protectors against premature wrinkles include melanin, vitamin A and coenzyme Q10. Melanin is a hormone responsible for the skin's tone. It is what a tan, a freckle and an age spot are composed of. A tan provides protection for the deeper skin layers, but does nothing to improve one's appearance, particularly as time goes by.

A tan does not protect against skin cancer, either. In fact, studies have shown that women who visit tanning salons on a monthly basis are 55% more likely to develop melanoma than women who don't. It may be that the intensity of the UV rays in the tanning bed is responsible for the increased risk. But, regardless, there is no such thing as a healthy tan.

Vitamin A and coenzyme Q10 help protect against premature wrinkles, because of their antioxidant activity. They prevent the molecular damage that causes wrinkling and other signs of aging. This same kind of molecular damage is also the cause of cancer.

Vitamin A creams are sometimes prescribed to reverse wrinkling. Coenzyme Q10 creams are available over the counter and studies have shown that they reverse premature wrinkles by 30% if used on a daily basis for three months. So, if you have the problem, stay out of the sun and try an anti-aging lotion. You could be pleased with the results.

Cancer Diagnosis

We all know at least one person who has suffered from cancer; and before all is said and done, at some point in our lives, we too may find that we will be diagnosed with cancer. In terms of what causes cancer, that is anyone's guess. However, there is no doubt that how you take care of your health plays a major role in keeping the diagnosis of cancer within check.

There are many people who spend a lot of time in the sun. For example, my old track and cross country coach used to spend hours in the sun without putting adequate sun block on. In fact, most times, he wouldn't put sunblock on at all; or if he did remember to put sunscreen on, he wasn't diligent about making sure to re-apply it after a few hours. The result? He was diagnosed with skin cancer and had to go in for repeat treatments in which the doctors would graft skin from another part of his body in order to replace the cancerous skin on his face. Now, while this may not seem like such a huge deal, the truth is that any cancer diagnosis should be taken seriously.

If you are out in the sun, make sure that you have sun block on. More importantly, make sure that you apply an even amount of sun block on the parts of your body that will be exposed to the sun's UV rays; and do this at least thirty minutes prior to going outside. You need this time frame so that your body can adequately absorb the sun block into the skin. Do the right thing and make sure that you protect your skin before going out into the sun.
