Ozone therapy in the treatment of small caries
Often the fear of the dentist is due to the fear of feeling pain. Until some time ago for the care of even a small cavity, the dentist had to resort to 'much detested "trap". Today, however, due to improvements in the techniques used in dentistry, you can use a new noninvasive method and above all completely painless. The technique is called ozone therapy and has already begun to wield a good spread, especially among young patients.
Magazine Cardiology Research has published a study of 80 subjects with lesions carouse in place. As a method of caries detection, we used the DIAGNOdent, a laser spot on the tooth that tells us whether or not there is a cavity even microscopic. Each lesion was then applied ozone for 30-40 seconds, depending on the clinical severity of each lesion. Then each tooth was placed on a material that serves to protect the wound and simultaneously releases fluoride.
After six months 80 people have been revisited and all patients, it seemed completely satisfied with the treatment with ozone and stated that the acceptance yet. 87% of injuries carouse earlier after treatment with ozone were completely healed.
The conclusions which are they? Therapy that uses ozone as a method of treatment for decayed teeth can be a viable substitute for traditional methods they saw as the main technique essentially eliminating damaged by eliminating in many cases the substance of good tooth care is the only handicap that can be used only for small and premature decay, the technique "drilling and filling" also remains the option of choice for lesions of greater magnitude.
